In accordance with our Constitution, we provide the following Memberships via an application process.  Submission of your information  and payment is not a guarantee of admission as a Member.

 

Active Members

Any male or female person who has reached the age of eighteen (18) years and who is either a native of the island of Kalymnos or a descendant of a native of Kalymnos or is married to such native or descendant but of Greek origin and who is residing within the State of New South Wales may make an application in the manner prescribed to be admitted as an Active Member. Active Members shall be the only members enjoying plenary rights and privileges in the Company.

 

Associated Members

Any male or female person who has reached the age of eighteen (18) years and who is either of Greek origin or is married to a native of the island of Kalymnos or to a descendant of a native of Kalymnos and is not of Greek origin may make an application in the manner prescribed to be admitted as an Associated Member. Associated Members shall have all rights belonging to Active Members except that of voting or election to Council or and Committees or sub-committees.

 

Honorary Members

Any person of distinguished national position or attainment or who has rendered exceptional services to the Company may if he so agree in writing be admitted as an Honorary Member without formal application by and upon invitation of the Council. Honorary Members shall not participate in any way in the administration or deal with the business of the Company but may attend as observers the general meetings of the Company.

 

Life Members

The Company may by Special Resolution at a General Meeting and upon recommendation of the Council or ten (10) Active Members elect to Life Membership any Active or Associated Member who has rendered exceptional services to the Company and upon acceptance in writing of such election that person shall be and become a Life Member of the Company.

 

Junior Members

Any person under the age of twenty five (25) years and above the age of fourteen (14) years who is either a native of the island of Kalymnos or a descendant of a native fo the island of Kalymnos and who is residing within the State of New South Wales may make an application in the manner prescribed to be admitted as a Junior Member. Such Junior Members may hold dual membership at age eighteen (18) upwards. Junior Members will constitute a special category of members who will regulate their own activities and elect their own committee according to By-Laws to be passed by Council. They may attend only as observer to the general meetings of the Company if aged eighteen (18) and over.
