Support for a vital medical initiative benefiting the Vouvaleio General Hospital

The Kalymnian Association of NSW is honoured to announce its support for a vital medical initiative benefiting the Vouvaleio General Hospital in Kalymnos. At our upcoming event on 29 November 2025, we have pledged a minimum donation of $2,000, generated through the anticipated sale of raffle tickets and auction items. Proceeds above this pledge will also be directed toward this life saving cause.

This campaign is part of a broader effort led by the Australian Hellenic Medical Charity Incorporated, a respected organisation committed to improving healthcare access across Hellenic communities. Their tireless work has delivered critical medical equipment and support to medical institutions in need, and this latest initiative aims to provide dialysis machines to Kalymnos, ensuring that patients requiring regular treatment can do so safely and locally.

In collaboration with Adelaide Kalymnians and Friends, the Australian Hellenic Medical Charity will host a fundraising gala in Adelaide on 28 November 2025, the evening prior to our Sydney event. This gala represents a cornerstone of the campaign, bringing together community leaders, medical professionals and supporters to raise the necessary funds to equip the hospital with dialysis units.

We encourage all members of our community to contribute generously. Donations can be made directly via the campaign page:

Please note that details of our event on the 29th of November, 2025 will be released in the coming days.

Together, we can help ensure that our families and friends in Kalymnos have access to the care they need and deserve.
